All seven liquor stores in Bend, plus the closest ones in Redmond, Sisters, Sunriver and La Pine. Hours and addresses come from the state’s official store list, and the selection numbers come from the OLCC’s own daily inventory, so you can see which store really has the biggest shelf.
For bottles priced $100 and up, 3rd Street (361), Bend South (195) and Trailhead (150) carry the most. True allocated releases go through OLCC’s Chance to Purchase drawing.
Every Bend store carries local spirits. 3rd Street, Giorgio’s, Trailhead and Bend South each stock about 80 bottles from Crater Lake, Oregon Spirit, Cascade Spirits and others.
Gift packs (bottles boxed with glasses and extras): 3rd Street has the most, then Bend South, which also focuses on local mixers and gift items. For minis, Giorgio’s has the most 50 mL bottles.
Newport Avenue Market’s Spirit Shop is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. On Friday and Saturday nights, Bend South, Giorgio’s and East Bend stay open until 9.
Need one exact bottle? Skip the guessing. Search Oregon Liquor Search for it, then call the store that shows it in stock.
Compare Bend liquor stores
How many different spirits each store had in stock, from OLCC’s daily store inventory (October 22–23, 2026). Prices are identical everywhere, so selection, location and hours are what set the stores apart.
Products = different item codes with at least one bottle on hand. $100+ = items priced $100 or more. Local = bottles from Central Oregon distilleries. Counts move daily as bottles sell and trucks arrive.

How Oregon liquor stores work
💵 The state sets the price
The OLCC buys every bottle and sets one retail price for it using a fixed markup formula. Stores can’t run their own spirits sales. OLCC does post monthly specials, and those are the same at every store.
🏪 Stores are run by local agents
Liquor stores are independent businesses run by OLCC-appointed agents, not state employees. That’s why each one feels different: its own beer, wine, mixers, gifts, staff and store-pick barrels.
🛒 No liquor in the grocery aisle
Grocery and convenience stores sell beer and wine, but bottles of spirits are sold at OLCC liquor stores. A few liquor stores sit inside markets, like Newport Avenue Market’s Spirit Shop.
🕖 Hours have limits
Under Oregon’s rules, stores can’t open before 7 a.m. or stay open past 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday they must be open at least 8 hours, including noon to 6. Sundays and holidays are optional for each store.
🎄 Call ahead on holidays
Since holiday opening is up to each store, hours on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day vary. OLCC’s own store list says to call ahead to check holiday hours.
🧾 What the price includes
Oregon has no sales tax, so the shelf price is what you pay for spirits. Part of every sale goes to the state, which uses liquor revenue for schools, alcohol prevention and treatment, and public safety.
Do identical spirits cost the same at different Bend liquor stores?
0price differences
Yes. We checked OLCC’s inventory for all 15 liquor stores from Terrebonne to La Pine. Of the 5,378 different products on their shelves, not one had a different price at a different store. A 750 mL Crater Lake Vodka is $19.95 at 3rd Street and $19.95 at Newport Avenue Market. Newport Avenue Market says it plainly on its own site: prices are the same across the state and from retailer to retailer.
What does differ: what’s in stock today, beer, wine and mixer prices, gift packs, hours, and how helpful the staff are.
How to find a specific bottle before driving across Bend
Open Oregon Liquor Search, the OLCC’s official inventory search. Type a brand, a category like “mezcal,” or an item code.
Set the location to Bend (or your ZIP) and a radius. Pick 30 miles to include Redmond, Sisters and Sunriver.
Read the quantity and date. Store inventories update around 7:30 each morning, but not every store reports every day. A count of 1 or 2 can be gone by afternoon.
Call the store and ask them to hold it. Trailhead Liquor also lets you order online for pickup.
Can’t find what you want? Special orders exist
If a spirit isn’t in OLCC’s regular product line, any liquor store can special order it for you. Plan ahead: OLCC says it can take 6–8 weeks to arrive, minimum quantities may apply, and special-order bottles carry a small handling fee in the price. Bend South Liquor and Newport Avenue Market both say they’re happy to chase down special requests.
Good for wedding signature cocktails, a favorite bottle from back home, or a big holiday order. Not good for this Saturday.
Rare and allocated spirits
The most sought-after bottles (think Pappy Van Winkle, George T. Stagg, Eagle Rare 17) don’t just show up on Bend shelves. Oregon sells many of them through Chance to Purchase, an OLCC drawing:
Four times a year: March, June, September and December. The September 2026 results are posted, so December is next.
Who can enter: Oregon residents 21 and over, with a valid Oregon driver license or ID at pickup. One entry per event, up to five items.
Pick a Bend store on your entry. Winning bottles ship there, the store calls you, and you have 14 days to pay.
Don’t flip it. Reselling a bottle you win is illegal in Oregon, and OLCC bars people who try.
Beyond the drawing
Store-pick barrels. Trailhead lists single barrel selections and Giorgio’s has done its own picks. Ask staff what’s new.
Broken Top bourbons and ryes from $34.95 · Wild Roots infused vodkas and gin from $26.95
Gompers Distillery
Redmond
Gompers Gin $33.95 · Navy Strength Gin $43.95
Badlands Artisan Distillery
La Pine
Cucumber Gin $28.95
Want to taste first? Oregon Spirit Distillers, Crater Lake Spirits and Cascade Spirits all have tasting rooms with bottle shops. See our Bend distillery tours and tastings guide for hours and what to expect.
For visitors or anyone who’s moved away, a Crater Lake, Oregon Spirit or Broken Top bottle says “Central Oregon” better than anything in the airport gift shop.
Minis and samplers
Giorgio’s had 104 different 50 mL minis and Bend South 93. Good for stocking stuffers and build-your-own tasting kits.
Shop early
Popular gift sets sell through in December, and holiday hours vary. For special orders, OLCC’s 6–8 week window means ordering by early November for Christmas.
Plan the ride home. Rides can be scarce late at night and outside the core, and winter roads get slick. Line up a designated driver, a ride or a place to stay before the party starts.
You don’t need a liquor store for beer, wine or cider. Bend’s markets, bottle shops and taprooms often have better selections, and prices aren’t set by the state. Newport Avenue Market, for example, has a “Wall of Beer” with 600+ craft brews.
Seven. OLCC’s store list (updated October 23, 2026) shows seven liquor agencies with Bend addresses: 3rd Street Beverage, Bend South Liquor, East Bend Liquor, Giorgio’s on Century Drive, Trailhead Liquor, the Wagner Mall store on NE 3rd and the Spirit Shop inside Newport Avenue Market.
Which Bend liquor store has the biggest selection?
3rd Street Beverage. In OLCC’s daily inventory data it had about 3,470 different products in stock, the most of any store in Central Oregon, followed by Bend South Liquor (about 2,750) and East Bend Liquor (about 2,490).
Are liquor prices the same at every store in Bend?
Yes, for distilled spirits. The OLCC sets one retail price for each bottle, and stores can’t run their own spirits sales. When we compared all 5,378 products stocked across the 15 stores in the Bend area, not a single one had a different price at a different store. Beer, wine and mixers are priced by each store.
What liquor store in Bend is open latest?
The Spirit Shop inside Newport Avenue Market, open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, which is as early and as late as Oregon allows. Bend South, Giorgio’s and East Bend stay open until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The rest close at 8.
Are Bend liquor stores open on Sunday?
All seven Bend stores list Sunday hours, most starting at 10 or 11 a.m. and closing between 6 and 7 p.m. (Newport Avenue Market is 7 to 10). Sunday and holiday opening is optional under Oregon’s rules, so holiday hours vary. OLCC tells shoppers to call ahead on holidays.
Can you buy liquor at grocery stores in Oregon?
Not at the regular checkout. Grocery and convenience stores sell beer and wine, but bottles of distilled spirits are sold through OLCC liquor stores. A few liquor stores operate inside markets, like the Spirit Shop at Newport Avenue Market in Bend.
How do I find a specific bottle in Bend?
Search Oregon Liquor Search (oregonliquorsearch.com) by brand or item code and set the location to Bend. It shows which stores have it and how many. Inventory updates each morning, but not every store reports daily, so call the store before you drive over.
Can a Bend liquor store special order a bottle?
Yes. If a spirit isn’t in OLCC’s regular product line, a liquor store can special order it for you. OLCC says it can take 6–8 weeks to arrive, and minimum quantities may apply.
How do I buy rare bourbon like Pappy Van Winkle in Oregon?
Mostly through OLCC’s Chance to Purchase drawings, held four times a year (March, June, September and December). Oregon residents 21 and over can enter once per event for up to five items. Winners pick up and pay at the liquor store they chose on their entry, within 14 days. Reselling a bottle you win is illegal.
How we checked this guide
On October 23, 2026 we pulled every store’s number, address, phone and regular hours from the OLCC’s Liquor Stores by City list (updated that day) and Oregon Liquor Search, then checked each store’s own website for what it offers. Selection, $100+, local, gift-pack and mini counts come from the OLCC’s daily store inventory file (October 22–23, 2026). Rules come from OLCC’s pricing formula, special orders and Chance to Purchase pages and Oregon’s store-hours rule, OAR 845-015-0140. Where a store’s site and OLCC’s list disagree on hours, we say so on the card.
