12 Bend barbershops compared by neighborhood: who takes walk-ins, who posts prices, where to go for a skin fade, longer hair, a hot-towel shave or a kid’s first cut, and how to book.
By All Things Bend · Updated October 23, 2026 · Every shop checked on its own website or booking page
Once you find a good barber, the person matters more than the sign outside. At multi-chair shops, look at the individual barber’s recent work on their booking page or Instagram before you book.
Current Bend haircut pricing: what is normal?
These are the prices Bend shops post on their own sites as of October 23, 2026. A standard cut runs $30 to $45; a skin fade or other technical cut is usually $45 to $50. Clover Cuts, Kulture, The Roost, Southbound and Ray’s Place don’t post prices, so check their booking pages.
*West Side lists “Hot Towel Shaves & Beard Trims” together at $25–55. Tony’s lists men’s cuts for ages 10 and up. Prices change, and tips aren’t included.
What makes one haircut cost more than another
Fade vs. standard cut
Bond Street and Blade & Barrel both charge $40 for a standard cut and $50 for a skin or bald fade. Blade & Barrel calls fades, tapers and mullets “technical” cuts.
Chair time
Tony’s prices by time: $45 for a 30-minute clipper cut, $50 for a 45-minute fade, $60 for a 60-minute medium or long scissor cut. Clover Cuts books long hair for an hour or more at “prices vary.”
Combos
A haircut plus beard trim is $45 at Blade & Barrel and $50 at The Barber House, less than booking both separately. Add a full shave at The Barber House and it’s $80.
Which barber
At Southbound, barbers “each set their own prices and hours,” so two chairs in the same shop can cost different amounts.
How you pay
Blade & Barrel takes $5 off any service paid in cash and The Roost offers cash discounts on most services. L & K takes cash only.

NE Greenwood, NE 3rd Street, SE 3rd Street and Highway 20 toward Pilot Butte. The widest mix, from an old-school cash shop to a two-location barber group.
Men’s cuts and fades, beard trims and shaping, straight-razor shaves and line-ups, razor art and designs, aromatherapy facials, “The Works,” and kids’ and teens’ cuts.
💲 Prices aren’t posted on the site. Cash discounts on most services at both locations.
The Lounge (next to Jamba and Nothing Bundt Cakes) is “refined, calm”; The Shop (next to Tomi Mart and Dangs) is “energetic, social and sports forward.”
Book the haircut-and-beard combo if you want both. A 60-minute service won’t fit a 30-minute opening.

Walk-ins / booking
“Appointment recommended, walk-ins welcomed”
Precision cuts, fades, long and short men’s styles, beard trims and hot-towel shaves.
💲 Barbers “each set their own prices and hours”; see each barber’s booking page.
Earliest posted opening on this page: 6 am.
Collin, Elisa, Josiah and Abe are listed for long hair; Josiah is listed for straight shaves. Not every barber does shaves, so check the bio before booking.
24-hour cancellation policy, which also applies to same-day bookings.
Bond Street Barber Shop is the one Bend shop built around walk-ins: “We are a walk-in only shop, no appointments necessary,” open every day from 8 am to 5 pm. It’s the easy answer when you just moved here, your regular barber is booked, or you have an interview tomorrow. The trade-off is that you may wait.

Booking tips that save a trip
Book the full service. The Roost warns that a 60-minute service won’t fit into a 30-minute opening. If you want a cut and beard trim, book the combo rather than adding the beard at the chair.
Know the cancellation rules. Southbound has a 24-hour cancellation policy that also covers same-day bookings. Tony’s waives the late-cancel fee only with 12 hours’ notice and treats 9 minutes late as a no-show.
Check the barber’s days. At Clover Cuts and Southbound, each barber books separately and keeps their own schedule.
Need it early or late? Southbound posts hours from 6 am, and Luke Stark at The Barber House starts appointments at 7:30 am. Kulture stays open until 8 pm daily; Tony’s runs to 7 pm on weekdays.
Sunday? Bond Street, Clover Cuts, Kulture, West Side and Southbound post seven-day hours. Ray’s Place is closed Sunday and Monday.
Pick a barber by style
Best for fades and modern barber cuts
Blade & Barrel and Tony’s list fades as their own service, so you know the time and price up front. West Side, Kulture, Bond Street and The Roost also do fades. Bring two or three photos (front, side and the back of the taper). That says more than “kind of a low fade.”
Best for longer men’s hair
Clover Cuts books long hair with a consultation and “at least an hour.” Tony’s has a 60-minute medium/long scissor cut, West Side lists scissor cuts, and four Southbound barbers are listed for long hair. If your hair reaches your ears or collar, ask how long the appointment is before you book.
Best traditional barbershop experience
The Barber House is the full-service pick: every cut ends with a hot-towel neck shave, and the menu includes a $45 full hot-towel shave. L & K (since 1968, cash only) and Abdu’s on Greenwood are the no-frills old-school options. Ray’s Place traces its family barbering back to the 1920s.
Beard trims: ask what is actually included
“Beard trim” can mean five minutes with clippers or a full shape with a razor finish. Blade & Barrel prices the difference ($30 trim, $35 with a straight-razor finish). Before booking, ask about length, cheek and neck lines, mustache cleanup, razor detailing and hot towel. If the beard is the main event, pick a barber whose portfolio shows beard work.

Kids’ cuts and first haircuts
Five shops post kids’ prices. Ages and price cutoffs vary, so check before you go.
Bond Street12 & under $35 · kids’ skin fade $50 · walk-in
Call first for a little one. The best shop for an adult fade isn’t automatically the best place for a four-year-old. Ask whether they’re used to young kids and when the shop is quietest.
Book a short, simple cut. A trim or a scissor cut is easier on a nervous kid than a full clipper fade.
Avoid nap time and hunger. A fed, rested kid sits still longer.
Bring a photo and a backup plan. Know which part matters most (bangs out of the eyes, ears clear), in case the cut has to stop early.
Search by name. Enter the barber’s last and first name. You can narrow by board, license type, status, or city (Bend).
Check the status and expiration date. Make sure the license is active.

How to get a better haircut from a new barber
Questions to ask before you book
Is this a standard cut or a technical cut (fade, taper, mullet)? It changes the price at several shops.
How long is the appointment for my hair length?
Does the cut include a neck shave or hot towel?
What’s in the beard trim: razor lines, mustache, hot towel?
Cash, card or app? Any cash discount?
What’s the cancellation or late policy?
Tell the barber in the chair
How long it’s been since your last cut.
Where your hair sticks up or falls flat.
Whether you use product, and how much time you’ll spend on it.
How often you want to come back.
What you didn’t like about your last cut.
Show photos: “Like this, but longer here.”
Bend’s dry climate and your haircut
Dry air, sun, hats, bike helmets and winter beanies are a big part of life here. Tell your barber if you wear a helmet or beanie most days. A low-maintenance cut that still looks right after a ride or a day at Mt. Bachelor is more useful than a style you’ll never recreate at home.

Every shop was checked on its own website or booking page on October 23, 2026 (Abdu’s has no website, so we used its Google Maps listing). Hours, prices and barbers change, so confirm before you go. We left off two shops from our previous version, The Lions Den and Mike Sposito at Salon June, because we couldn’t confirm a current Bend listing for either. Know a shop we missed? Tell us.
