Where to stay for a Bend bachelorette party

Downtown, if nightlife is the point

Walk to dinner and Bond Street, with no rides needed at night. McMenamins Old St. Francis School is a downtown hotel with pubs and a theater (its soaking pool has been temporarily closed since Oct. 5, 2026, so check before you count on it).

A rental house for 8–14

Breakfast together, a hot tub and room to get ready. Before you book, confirm the real bed count, parking and quiet hours, whether parties are allowed, and that the listing shows its Bend short-term rental permit.

A resort, if it’s a spa weekend

Sunriver Resort, Juniper Preserve and FivePine in Sisters put the spa, the pool and dinner on site. Brasada Ranch has cabins with private hot tubs.

Westside, for the outdoors

On the road to Mt. Bachelor and the Cascade Lakes, still 5–10 minutes from downtown. Tetherow has a hotel and a year-round pool.

Browse places to stay in Bend, or base in Sunriver or Sisters.

Where the money goes

  • Lodging is the big line, and summer and ski weekends cost the most.
  • One splurge per person: a massage, a balloon flight or the private spa suite.
  • Free and cheap: Smith Rock ($10 a car), the river trail, food cart dinners, a $28 float.
  • Rides: split a party bus, trolley or Cycle Pub across the group.
  • Gratuity: spas add 20% for groups; budget it in.

Bend bachelorette planning tips

  1. Book lodging first, then the anchor activity, then dinner for the whole group (walk-ins for 12 don’t happen on a Saturday).
  2. River and parks are dry. No alcohol on the water or in Bend parks, and none before rafting.
  3. Build in a backup. Summer smoke and spring snow happen; keep the spa, escape room or paint & sip on standby. See rainy and smoky days.
  4. Altitude is real. Bend sits around 3,600 feet; drink water between the cocktails.
  5. Split teams for big groups. Rafts hold 7 and escape rooms up to 6 (one fits 10), so race each other.
  6. Send the schedule a week out with times, addresses, what to wear and who owes what.

Bend bachelorette party questions

Is Bend good for a bachelorette party?

Yes, if your crew likes a mix of outdoors, spa time and good food and drink. In one weekend you can float the Deschutes, soak at a resort spa, taste wine near Smith Rock and walk between downtown bars. It isn’t a nightclub town: the late spot is the Astro Lounge, open until midnight.

What is the best month for a Bend bachelorette party?

June through early September for river floats (Sun Country’s tube rentals ran June 6–Sept. 27 in 2026) and patios. September is warm with fewer crowds. December through March is for ski-and-spa weekends; Mt. Bachelor is scheduled to open Dec. 4, 2026. July and August can bring wildfire smoke, so keep an indoor backup.

Can you drink while floating the river in Bend?

No. Sun Country Tours says no alcohol is allowed on the water or in any Bend park, and no alcohol before or during rafting trips. Float first and celebrate after.

How much does a Bend bachelorette party cost?

From posted prices: a river tube and shuttle is $28, a Big Eddy raft seat $49–$79, Anjou Spa’s hot sand sauna $35 a person or its private suite $250+ for 3–4, a Cycle Pub Big Bike $440 split up to 14 ways, a Wanderlust Brews & Views paddle $120, a resort massage $210 and a hot air balloon flight $295. Add lodging, meals, drinks and rides.

Is there a party bus or trolley in Bend?

Yes. The Bend Trolley books bachelorette routes (2027 reservations open Feb. 1, 2027), Bend’s Party Bus runs buses for 7–24 people, Exquisite Limo Bend serves bachelorette parties, Bend Ride Company runs party shuttles, and Cycle Pub’s pedal bike is its own ride.

Where should a bachelorette group stay in Bend?

Stay downtown if the plan is dinner and bars: you can walk Bond and Wall streets. A rental house works for 8–14 people who want breakfast and hot-tub time together; check that the listing shows its Bend short-term rental permit. For a spa weekend, Sunriver, Juniper Preserve or FivePine in Sisters put the spa on site.

What do you do on a rainy or smoky day?

Book the spa: Anjou Spa’s private suite, a resort spa day, or an escape room at Puzzle Effect, where one room fits 10. Paint & sip nights run year-round. See our rainy and smoky day guide for more.
